Emraan Hashmi’s 'Awarapan 2' has cleared its first Monday test with a strong hold at the box office. The sequel to the 2007 film earned Rs 9.25 crore (net) in India on Day 4, taking its total domestic net collection to Rs 91 crore.
According to trade tracker Sacnilk, the film recorded the Day 4 figure across 10,849 shows. Its India gross collection has reached Rs 109.02 crore, while the worldwide gross stands at Rs 130.82 crore.
Overseas business adds to total
The film also maintained its momentum in international markets. 'Awarapan 2' collected Rs 2.50 crore overseas on Day 4, taking its overseas gross to Rs 21.80 crore.

The film had opened with Rs 22 crore on Day 1, followed by Rs 33.75 crore on Saturday and Rs 26 crore on Sunday.
The Monday performance has taken the film past the Rs 90 crore mark in India within its first four days.
Emraan Hashmi scores big
'Awarapan 2' has also quickly moved past the lifetime collections of several earlier Emraan Hashmi films.
The film surpassed the Rs 7.75 crore lifetime net collection of 'Awarapan' itself on its opening day. By Saturday, it had also gone beyond the final collections of 'Haq' (Rs 20 crore), 'Raaz 2' (Rs 25.50 crore), 'Ek Thi Daayan' (Rs 26 crore) and 'Jannat' (Rs 30 crore).
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh highlighted the film’s performance in international markets, particularly the UAE-GCC region.
"Awarapan2 fares well in the international markets, especially UAE-GCC, which contributed approx 50% of its #Overseas business... In just its opening weekend, #Awarapan2 has emerged as the HIGHEST-GROSSING solo #EmraanHashmi film in the #Overseas markets," he wrote.

'Awarapan 2' beats 'Batwara 1947'
Directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Bhatt under Vishesh Films, the film stars Emraan Hashmi alongside Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi.
The film has emerged as the stronger performer in its box office clash with Sunny Deol-starrer 'Batwara 1947'.
