Massive crater near Mossad HQ after Iran's big missile offensive escalates tensions
In a dramatic escalation, Iran launched over 180 ballistic missiles at Israel, with one landing near the headquarters of Mossad in Tel Aviv. A video circulating on social media shows a massive crater near Mossad’s offices in Herzliya, located less than three kilometers from the intelligence agency’s headquarters. The video, verified by CNN, was filmed from a nearby high-rise and shows a parking lot devastated by the strike, with dust and debris covering nearby vehicles. The crater lies just a few hundred meters from a local cinema complex.
The missile offensive was triggered by the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh during Israeli military operations. Air raid sirens blared across Israel as millions rushed to bomb shelters. While most missiles were intercepted by Israel's Iron Dome and Arrow defense systems, a few breached the shield, causing minor damage.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned Iran’s actions, warning Tehran had made a “big mistake” and would face severe consequences. Israel’s response, he said, would be precise and strategic rather than leading to full-scale war.
Guy Nir, a spokesperson for the Israeli embassy in India, reinforced this sentiment, stating Israel would deliver a measured and calculated response to avoid a wider conflict. However, Iran’s Ambassador to India, Iraj Elahi, threatened further strikes if Israel does not de-escalate, referring to Netanyahu as the "Hitler of our time." The situation remains tense, with both nations poised for further conflict unless tensions subside.
