Iran warns US against hegemonic policies, say any aggression will lead to 'collapse, disintegration'
Iran's Armed Forces on Sunday issued a fresh warning to the United States against pursuing what they described as hegemonic policies, asserting that any power confronting Tehran's military strength and national resolve would ultimately face collapse and disintegration in the eyes of global public opinion.
Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi, spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces, said Washington's policies of aggression, assassination and maximum pressure had failed to weaken Iran's leadership, people and military capabilities.
Shekarchi claimed that the political and electoral setbacks suffered by US President Donald Trump and his Republican allies reflected more than domestic political developments, arguing that they demonstrated the failure of Washington's approach towards Tehran.
"The political and electoral setbacks suffered by the Trump administration and its allies reflect more than domestic political shifts; they point to a greater reality: the failure of the US to break Iran's will," Shekarchi said, according to Iranian media.
He maintained that Iran's military preparedness and deterrence capabilities had prevented the United States from achieving its strategic objectives despite sustained pressure and military confrontation.

Shekarchi accused successive American administrations of relying on military threats, economic sanctions and political pressure to weaken Iran.
He argued that these measures had failed against the determination of Iran's leadership and its armed forces, claiming that Washington had suffered repeated setbacks across West Asia.
The Iranian military spokesperson also criticised the United States' reliance on advanced military equipment and naval deployments, asserting that the country's military reputation had been damaged by its confrontation with Tehran.
He described the outcome as a strategic setback for Washington and claimed that it demonstrated the limitations of military power when confronted by sustained national resistance.
According to Shekarchi, the political consequences of the conflict were increasingly visible within the United States, where recent electoral developments had weakened Trump's Republican Party.
His remarks followed the November 3 US midterm elections, which Iranian officials have portrayed as evidence of domestic opposition to Washington's military policies.
The Iranian military's interpretation of the election results remains a political claim rather than an independently established explanation of American voting behaviour.

Separately, Rear Admiral Mohsen Razzaqi, commander of Iran's Northern Fleet, warned American forces stationed in the region that Tehran would impose substantial costs on any country launching fresh military operations against it.
Speaking at a ceremony in the northern coastal city of Astara, Razzaqi said coordination among Iran's armed forces had reached its highest level and that naval units remained prepared to defend the country's maritime borders.
He said Iran's naval forces, including missile and drone units and commandos, maintained a continuous operational presence.
Razzaqi stressed that the country's defence strategy was designed not merely to withstand an attack but to make further aggression prohibitively costly for its adversaries.
He identified Iran's missile capabilities, unmanned aerial systems, naval strength and geographical position as important elements of its deterrence strategy.
The commander also emphasised the role of trained military personnel, describing human resources as the navy's most important asset.

The latest warnings follow a series of statements by senior Iranian security officials indicating that Tehran remains prepared for renewed hostilities with the United States.
Earlier, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Mohsen Rezaei warned that any country initiating another war against Iran would face a devastating response.
Iranian officials have repeatedly maintained that their armed forces would respond immediately and decisively to further attacks.
In late October, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei reportedly directed military commanders to maintain maximum deterrence and prepare for an effective response to renewed aggression.
The instructions included strengthening military intelligence, updating potential target lists and ensuring that the country's response would not necessarily be confined to a particular geographical area.
Iranian military officials have subsequently reiterated that American military assets could become targets if Washington launched fresh attacks.

The warnings also came after the United States Central Command announced the establishment of a task force aimed at disrupting alleged Iranian efforts to transport advanced weapons, dual-use technologies and sanctioned materials through overland routes.
Washington has accused Tehran of using regional supply networks to support military activities and armed groups, while Iranian officials have rejected American pressure and defended their security policies.
The latest development comes amid continuing tensions following the US-Israeli military campaign against Iran that began in February.
Although diplomatic efforts have sought to prevent a broader escalation, disputes over military operations, sanctions and regional security arrangements have continued.
Iranian officials have also linked their security demands to the future of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, a strategic maritime route for international energy shipments.
On November 6, Iranian Army spokesperson Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia said reopening the waterway would depend on Washington accepting conditions communicated by Tehran.
He warned that further military action would not bring about the reopening of the strait.

Iran's latest statements come as regional governments remain concerned about the possibility of renewed military confrontation involving Tehran and Washington.
The conflict has affected energy markets, maritime transport and security arrangements across West Asia, with both sides maintaining sharply different accounts of its military and political consequences.
While Iranian commanders have presented recent developments as evidence of their country's deterrence capabilities, Washington has continued to emphasise the need to counter Iranian military activities and regional weapons networks.
The renewed warnings underline the continuing confrontation between the two countries, with Tehran signalling that it would respond forcefully to any further attacks while diplomatic efforts to contain the conflict remain uncertain.
