Iran sets 3 conditions to ‘end war’ with US and Israel

Taking to microblogging site X, Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian said he reaffirmed the country's commitment to peace by talking to Russia and Pakistan

As the Middle East conflict entered its 13th day, Iran laid down three conditions for ending the war with Israel and the United States. In a post on the microblogging platform X, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said he reiterated the country’s commitment to peace during conversations with leaders from Russia and Pakistan. He outlined that the only path to ending the war — which he said was “ignited by the Zionist regime & US” — would require three steps: recognition of Iran’s legitimate rights, payment of reparations, and firm international guarantees to prevent future aggression.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, US President Donald Trump asserted that the United States had already won the war in Iran, while adding that American troops would continue to remain deployed until the mission was fully completed. The conflict began after the US and Israel launched coordinated strikes on Iran on February 28 and has since witnessed intense exchanges of attacks and counterattacks, resulting in nearly 1,200 casualties. Strikes on Iranian oil tankers and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz have also disrupted oil supplies, pushing crude prices higher worldwide.
