TMC accuses BJP of plotting violence and murder ahead of Nabanna March; releases video footage

Two videos purportedly show various individuals discussing the need for violence. Phrases like "We need a body" and "Rubber bullets will be used" are reportedly heard in the footage

With the Nabanna march set for this Tuesday morning, the Trinamool Congress has made grave accusations against the BJP. The party alleges that the BJP is orchestrating a scheme to provoke violence and possibly commit murder under the pretense of the protest.

During a Monday press conference, Trinamool leader Kunal Ghosh accused the BJP of practicing 'vulture politics,' alleging they are looking for 'bodies' to advance their agenda. Ghosh shared two viral videos that seemingly depict people talking about the necessity of violence. Reportedly, phrases like 'We need a body' and 'Rubber bullets will be used' can be heard in the clips. The videos suggest potential violence if no deaths occur during the protest. The authenticity of these videos has not been confirmed.

In response to these allegations, BJP spokesperson and Rajya Sabha MP Shamik Bhattacharya rejected them as desperate efforts by the Trinamool Congress to divert attention from their unsuccessful protest.

At a press conference, Trinamool leaders Kunal Ghosh and Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya criticized the proposed march for lacking proper police authorization. They cautioned that the protest might include outsiders disguised as police officers to incite violence. Chandrima urged the state police and administration to remain vigilant, prevent any infiltration by external elements, and avoid provocations. During a press conference, ADG South Bengal Supratim Sarkar stated that there is no official organization called Paschimbanga Chhatra Samaj. He also declared that the planned protest march is illegal and clarified that no formal complaints have been filed with the police regarding this protest.
