Nitin Nabin to visit Gangasagar, attend youth conclave on second day of Bengal visit

BJP national president Nitin Nabin will visit Gangasagar in South 24 Parganas district and participate in a youth conclave in Kolkata on Monday, the final day of his two-day visit to West Bengal.

According to the revised schedule shared by the party, Nabin will board a helicopter from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport here and reach Gangasagar at 9 am. He will return to Kolkata at 10 am.

Nabin will then leave for Lok Sanskriti Bhawan in Sodepur, Panihati, at 10.45 am and participate in the 'Angan Ka Milan' seva programme from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm.

The BJP president will leave the venue at 12.30 pm for Space Circle Club in Kolkata, where he will attend the 'Yuva Samvad Conclave' from 1.15 pm to 2.15 pm.

He will have lunch at the venue before leaving for NSCBI Airport at 3 pm. Nabin is scheduled to depart for New Delhi by an Air India flight at 4.10 pm.

The revised programme differs from the earlier schedule, which had Nabin arriving at Lok Sanskriti Bhawan at 10.30 am and attending the 'Angan Ka Milan' programme before proceeding to the youth conclave.

Visit comes after BJP reshuffle

Nabin's visit to West Bengal comes days after the state BJP announced a major organisational reshuffle, including changes in the leadership of its Mahila Morcha and Yuva Morcha and seven organisational districts.

On Sunday, Nabin held a series of meetings with state office-bearers, district leaders, MPs, MLAs, ministers and other functionaries, with the focus on strengthening coordination between the party organisation and elected representatives.

State BJP president Samik Bhattacharya said Nabin stressed the need for greater coordination between the party organisation, elected representatives and the state government, while asking party workers not to interfere in the functioning of the council of ministers.
