Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann admitted for routine tests, no health issues reported
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has been admitted to Fortis Hospital in Mohali “for some routine tests”, a spokesperson from the Chief Minister’s Office said on Wednesday.
“He got admitted in the morning as he wants to get some tests done. Otherwise there is no health issue. These are routine tests and for some tests, admission is required. There is nothing else to read into it,” the spokesperson added.
Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia mentioned Mann’s hospitalisation in a post on X. “CM @BhagwantMann has been admitted in Fortis Hospital, Mohali last night in emergency condition. Hope he is fine. Praying for his wellbeing. Get well soon CM SAAB.”
A few days ago, Majithia had claimed that Mann was admitted to a private hospital in Delhi. The reports were denied by Mann’s aides. Later, the chief minister had taken a dig at his opponents by saying that even if he sat on the ground to tie his laces, his opponents would say that he had a fall.
