'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' from September 17 to mark PM Modi's 25 years in public service

Haryana BJP president Archana Gupta on Monday said various programmes would be organised across the state under the nationwide ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ from September 17 to October 17 to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life dedicated to service, commitment and nation-building.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, a meeting will be held on September 10 to chalk out the strategy for ensuring participation of citizens in the campaign, Gupta said.

Saini, his ministers and senior BJP leaders in the state will attend the meeting, where preparations for the campaign and various programmes, besides responsibilities for party workers, will be finalised.

‘Jan-Sevak Mahakumbh’ to conclude month-long campaign

A ‘Jan-Sevak Mahakumbh’ will be organised at Surajkund to conclude the month-long campaign, where public representatives from various sectors will take a pledge for a ‘Viksit Bharat’, Gupta said.

The campaign will begin on September 17, Modi’s birthday, with a series of social service and public welfare programmes, including blood donation camps.

This will be followed by programmes such as the ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’ and several other public service initiatives, symbolising Modi’s 25 years of service, she said.

Campaign to highlight welfare schemes, honour frontline workers

The “Aangan Ka Milan” programme will be held to honour Anganwadi workers, helpers and ASHA workers for their role in women’s health and nutrition.

The “Kahani Badlav Ki” campaign will showcase, through videos, real-life stories of people who have benefited from schemes of the Narendra Modi government.

Gupta said district-level workshops for the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ had been organised over the past three days to discuss implementation of the programmes with party workers.

The party would ensure that the campaign reached every section of society and that its workers actively participated in service-oriented activities across the state, she said.
