Four juveniles held in murder-cum-robbery case in Delhi's Bawana
New Delhi: Delhi Police has apprehended four juveniles in connection with a murder-cum-robbery case and another robbery incident in outernorth Delhi's Bawana area, an official on Thursday said. A PCR call was received on June 26 about an unidentified man lying injured and unconscious in DSIIDC Park in C-Block in Bawana Industrial Area, police said. "The victim, aged around 30-35, was rushed to Maharishi Valmiki Hospital where he was declared brought dead. An FIR was registered and further investigation was launched. The deceased was later identified as Avdhesh Yadav, a native of Deoria in Uttar Pradesh, by his brother," said a police officer. No immediate clue with regard to the incident emerged despite scanning over 1,000 CCTV cameras from the nearby areas, police said. The field inquiries later revealed suspicious movements of some people in the locality during the time of the incident. The teams zeroed in on four juveniles, all of whom were apprehended, they said. "One of the juveniles accepted their crime during interrogation. They told the team that they stabbed him when they were robbing him. Mobile phone, purse and documents of the deceased were also recovered from their possession" said the police officer, adding further investigation is underway.
