Entry gates reopen at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House, Central Secretariat Metro stations

Entry gates reopened at the Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat Metro stations on Saturday, even as the remaining 15 stations closed in the morning continued to remain shut, officials said. The closure order was issued by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) for the fourth consecutive day amid the ongoing protest at the Jantar Mantar spearheaded by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). It later said that the entry and exit gates at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat Metro stations have now been reopened, while interchange facilities continue to remain available from these stations.

The stations where the restrictions continue are Lok Kalyan Marg, Patel Chowk, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, Barakhambha Road, Supreme Court, Seva Teerth, Janpath, ITO, Delhi Gate, Indraprastha, Khan Market, Jor Bagh, Shivaji Stadium, Jhandewalan and New Delhi. The restrictions come as security arrangements remain in place in central Delhi in view of the ongoing CJP protest, which has drawn large gatherings near Jantar Mantar over the past few days.
