Delhi Metro shock: CISF jawan accused of clicking woman’s photos, pointing pistol at passengers

A late-night Delhi Metro confrontation escalated after a woman allegedly accused a CISF jawan of filming her

A late-night incident inside the Delhi Metro has triggered concern over passenger safety after a CISF jawan was allegedly accused of photographing a woman without her consent and later pointing his service pistol at passengers during a confrontation.

Woman alleges she was photographed without consent

The incident reportedly took place around midnight on Sunday at AIIMS Metro Station. According to accounts of the incident, passengers confronted the CISF personnel after a woman allegedly accused him of taking her pictures without her permission.

The confrontation escalated when passengers reportedly asked him to hand over his phone. The jawan allegedly pointed his service weapon towards them during the argument, creating panic inside the coach.

He later reportedly stepped out of the train onto the platform while still holding the pistol. A video showing the confrontation subsequently surfaced on social media.

CISF sources said the personnel has been suspended and a departmental inquiry has been ordered. The matter was also brought to the attention of the Metro Police.

Police receive PCR call, no formal complaint filed

Police sources said a PCR call was received at around 12.40 am regarding the incident. A police team reached AIIMS Metro Station after being alerted.

However, the woman involved did not submit a formal complaint, according to police sources. The CISF authorities were subsequently informed about the episode.

Some security personnel were also reportedly injured during the confrontation, though details about how the injuries occurred have not yet been established.

CISF orders inquiry into alleged misconduct

CISF Delhi Metro said it had taken serious note of the incident involving its personnel and a female passenger.

The force said the concerned jawan had been suspended with immediate effect and that a detailed inquiry would examine the allegations. Further action will depend on the findings of the investigation.

Delhi Metro privacy concerns resurface

The incident comes amid several recent episodes involving allegations of passengers recording women without their consent inside Delhi Metro trains.

In one recent case, a woman confronted a man after allegedly finding that he had secretly recorded her. She reportedly checked his phone's “Recently Deleted" folder after he deleted the footage and found photographs and a video there.

The latest confrontation has once again put the spotlight on privacy and passenger safety inside Delhi Metro coaches, particularly when disputes over alleged unauthorised recordings escalate into confrontations.
