Delhi CM inaugurates projects worth Rs 25 crore in Najafgarh area

Multiple development projects were inaugurated by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta in Najafgarh area as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan on Tuesday.

Road and drainage projects inaugurated

The projects related to revamping roads and drainage infrastructure in the area worth Rs 25 crore were inaugurated.

"From better roads and drains to stronger drainage infrastructure, these projects will strengthen civic amenities and make everyday life easier for the people of Najafgarh," the chief minister said addressing a crowd.

10 more projects underway

Gupta said that another 10 projects worth Rs 33 crore across seven unauthorised colonies are already underway.

"All the projects which had come to a halt in the previous government have been taken in addition to the one we have inaugurated now," she added.

Elevated road planned to ease congestion

Public Works Department Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh said that to reduce traffic congestion in the area, the government is also working on planning an elevated road on Najafgarh-Phirni road.
