'15-20 people entered my house': CJP's Saurav Das accuses YouTubers of invading his home

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) spokesperson Saurav Das on Wednesday alleged that several YouTubers and media personnel entered his residence without permission, calling it a serious breach of privacy and a security threat to his family. In a series of posts on X, Das sought police intervention while claiming that the situation could expose his family to potential danger.

Das, who emerged as one of the prominent faces of the anti-NEET paper leak protests at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, said a large number of content creators had gathered at his residence while he was away attending the CJP's two-day meeting in Maharashtra.

In one of his posts, he wrote, "#SOS: Certain YouTubers and media channels have broken into my house and are showing the visuals from inside. It’s not just an invasion of my privacy but also a grave security threat for me and my family. If anti-social elements attack me at my residence as a result of this, these YouTubers and their troll handlers who are coordinating this will be directly responsible! @DelhiPolice,"

In another post, Das claimed, "15-20 such people had descended" on his residence on Wednesday morning.

"Some have been camping outside since last night. These videos have now activated goons, a grave security threat for everyone living in the house. I am currently in Maharashtra for CJP’s two-day meeting," he added.

CJP outlines next steps

Speaking ahead of the party's core committee meeting in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Das said environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk would continue to mentor the CJP.

He also said the party was pressing for the withdrawal of FIRs registered against students who participated in the recent protests over the NEET paper leak and other examination-related issues.

"We are talking with government representatives on this issue," Das said.

He added that the CJP was also working to arrange legal and medical assistance for protesters injured during student agitations in different parts of the country.

Dipke backs Jharkhand protest

CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke also reiterated support for students protesting in Jharkhand over alleged irregularities in recruitment examinations.

Addressing reporters before the meeting, Dipke said the organisation would function as a pressure group and continue raising issues related to public institutions.

He said, "People have lost faith in the judiciary, politics, media and the Election Commission. Our agitation received nationwide support. As the agitation grew, the support was not merely limited to education issues; it was also about these institutions. Hence, to bring accountability in these institutions, there is a need for a public pressure group."

Backing the ongoing agitation in Ranchi, Dipke added, "We will definitely go to Jharkhand, we will stand with them and support their every demand in the agitation."
