Sinner triumphs over Alcaraz in Six Kings Slam, Djokovic defeats Nadal in possible final showdown

Sinner claims a thrilling win over Alcaraz, while Djokovic edges out Nadal in what could be their last match, marking the end of a historic rivalry with 46 combined Grand Slam titles

Jannik Sinner emerged victorious over Carlos Alcaraz in a thrilling 6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-3 win to claim the championship at the Six Kings Slam exhibition on Saturday. In an earlier match, Novak Djokovic bested Rafael Nadal 6-2, 7-6 (5) for third place, possibly marking the end of one of tennis' greatest rivalries.

Djokovic and Nadal, who together boast an astounding 46 Grand Slam singles titles, shared a warm embrace at the net following Djokovic’s win. With 31 victories in their 60 head-to-head meetings, Djokovic holds a slight edge over Nadal. Nadal, a 22-time Grand Slam champion, is expected to retire after representing Spain in next month’s Davis Cup. "The last dance was an epic one," Djokovic wrote on social media. "I'll cherish our rivalry forever, Rafa. Tennis will miss you."

In the championship, Sinner, the top-ranked player, overcame Alcaraz, the winner of the French Open and Indian Wells this year, to collect a $6 million prize. Their intense rivalry continues to grow, with Alcaraz leading 6-4 in their Tour matchups. "I will try my best every day ... to hopefully make this rivalry better and better over the years," Alcaraz said. The exhibition event, hosted in Saudi Arabia, awarded prize money but did not offer ATP ranking points.
