Central Railway to launch month-long ticket-checking drive from tomorrow

Commuters travelling on Mumbai's suburban local trains and across the Central Railway network will have to keep their identity documents handy as the railway zone prepares to launch an intensive, month-long ticket-checking drive from October 1. The special campaign, scheduled to continue until October 31, will cover trains and railway stations across the zone.

The initiative is aimed at strengthening ticket verification and ensuring compliance with railway travel regulations. Passengers travelling on tickets or passes that require identity verification have been advised to carry valid identification documents to avoid inconvenience during inspections.

Intensive inspections throughout October

The month-long campaign will involve ticket inspections across Mumbai's suburban railway network and other sections under Central Railway. Commuters have been advised to ensure that their tickets and travel passes are valid and that they carry the required documents during their journeys.

Passengers using concessionary tickets, season passes or other travel documents linked to their identity should ensure that their identification details match their tickets. Travellers are also advised to cooperate with railway ticket-checking personnel during the special drive.

The campaign will run throughout October, covering both suburban and long-distance services operating under Central Railway.
