New Audi Q3 makes India debut ahead of festive-season launch
The new-generation Audi Q3 has made its India debut ahead of its expected launch during the upcoming festive season, bringing a substantially revised design, updated technology and a more modern cabin to one of the German luxury carmaker's most important entry-level models.
Now in its third generation, the Q3 adopts styling cues from Audi's newer models while retaining the compact proportions that have helped make it a key part of the brand's SUV portfolio. The India-spec model is expected to be offered with a familiar turbo-petrol powertrain when prices are announced.
Sharper exterior design
The new Q3 receives a wider interpretation of Audi's signature Singleframe grille, accompanied by slimmer lighting elements and redesigned bumpers that give the SUV a more contemporary appearance. The overall silhouette remains recognisable, although the detailing has been extensively revised.
A major highlight is the lighting technology. The international model is available with sophisticated digital lighting systems, while the rear features redesigned lamps and a cleaner tailgate treatment. New alloy-wheel designs further distinguish the latest model from its predecessor.
Despite the visual overhaul, the Q3 continues to occupy the compact luxury SUV segment, where buyers increasingly expect premium features and technology alongside everyday practicality.
Cabin gets tech upgrade
Changes are more substantial inside, where Audi has introduced a redesigned dashboard with a stronger emphasis on digital interfaces. The cabin features a digital instrument display and a large infotainment touchscreen, giving the interior a cleaner and more technology-focused layout.
Audi has also revised the control arrangement around the driver, freeing up space in the centre console and contributing to a less cluttered appearance. Depending on the variant, the equipment list is expected to include premium convenience, connectivity and driver-assistance features.
Practicality remains an important part of the package, with the Q3 continuing to offer seating for five and flexible luggage space aimed at buyers looking for a luxury SUV that can also serve as an everyday family vehicle.
Festive launch planned
The India-spec Q3 is expected to continue with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with an automatic transmission and Audi's quattro all-wheel-drive system, although final specifications and variants will be confirmed closer to launch.
The new model will enter a competitive segment populated by compact luxury SUVs from Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Volvo. Pricing will be crucial as Audi seeks to strengthen its position in India's premium car market.
With its festive-season introduction, the new Q3 will become an important addition to Audi India's refreshed product portfolio, combining a familiar nameplate with a significantly more modern design and technology package.
