‘Mod My MINI’ offers 2.5 million factory-backed customisation combos in India

MINI India on Wednesday announced the launch of ‘Mod My MINI’, a vehicle customisation programme that will allow customers to personalise new as well as existing MINI cars with a range of factory-backed design and accessory options.

The programme covers models from the Cooper and Countryman families and offers customisation through original accessories, signature paint finishes and decals. MINI said customers will be able to create more than 2.5 million possible combinations under the programme.

Over 100 paint shades

Customers can modify several exterior elements of their vehicles, including the roof, mirror caps, spoilers and brake calipers. The programme includes more than 100 classic MINI paint shades, thematic decals and a selection of original MINI accessories.

The company said the initiative is aimed at giving owners greater flexibility to personalise their cars rather than limiting customisation to predetermined factory configurations.

Hardeep Singh Brar, President and CEO of BMW Group India, said the programme was designed to give customers greater freedom in defining the appearance and identity of their vehicles.

“True luxury is defined by the freedom to choose,” Brar said, adding that the programme would provide owners with factory-backed customisation options.

Two-year warranty on decals

Official decals installed under the programme will carry a 24-month warranty from the date of installation, according to the company.

Customers can approach MINI authorised dealerships to explore the available customisation options, check availability of parts and accessories and place their requirements.

MINI currently has 17 sales touchpoints across 16 Indian cities, including Delhi-NCR, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Guwahati, Ranchi, Surat, Jaipur and Jodhpur. Its service operations are integrated with BMW Group India's after-sales network, which covers 51 touchpoints across 36 cities.
