Honda launches CB750 Hornet and CB1000 Hornet SP in India; bookings open
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has announced the launch of two new premium motorcycles — the CB750 Hornet and CB1000 Hornet SP — marking a bold push into India’s high-performance biking segment. The bikes are now available for booking, with deliveries scheduled to begin from June 2025.
The CB750 Hornet is priced at ₹8,59,500, while the flagship CB1000 Hornet SP comes at ₹12,35,900 (ex-showroom Gurugram). The CB750 will be available across BigWing and BigWing Topline dealerships, whereas the CB1000 SP will be sold exclusively via BigWing Topline outlets.
Mr. Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO of HMSI, emphasized the company’s commitment to young and performance-seeking riders. “These Hornets are a true representation of Honda’s legacy of engineering excellence, aggressive design, and thrilling performance,” he said.
The motorcycles, developed under the design concept ‘Aggressive X Pure’, boast a muscular streetfighter look with sharp lines, LED lighting, and a commanding presence. The CB750 Hornet comes in Matte Pearl Glare White and Matte Ballistic Black Metallic, while the CB1000 Hornet SP features a single Matte Ballistic Black Metallic option highlighted by gold accents.
Performance-wise, the CB750 Hornet is powered by a 755cc parallel twin-cylinder engine that delivers 67.5 kW and 75 Nm torque. The CB1000 Hornet SP packs a punch with its 999cc inline four-cylinder DOHC engine, producing 115.6 kW and 107 Nm torque. Both bikes are equipped with a 6-speed gearbox, slipper clutch, and multiple riding modes. The CB1000 SP also features a bi-directional quickshifter.
Safety and control come via dual-channel ABS, Brembo brakes (CB1000), and Showa and Öhlins suspension systems. A 5-inch TFT screen with Honda RoadSync, emergency stop signal, and customizable torque settings enhance the tech offering.
Mr. Yogesh Mathur, Director, Sales and Marketing, noted the Hornet brand’s enduring popularity. “With CB750 and CB1000 Hornet SP, we are taking that legacy to the next level,” he said, adding that the motorcycles are poised to appeal to thrill-seekers across India.
