BMW launches new S 1000 R in India at ₹19.9 lakh, bookings now open
Motorrad India has launched the much-anticipated new BMW S 1000 R in the country, with bookings now open across all dealerships. Priced at an introductory ₹19.9 lakh (ex-showroom), the performance-driven roadster arrives as a completely built-up unit (CBU). Described by BMW as a “dynamic roadster with superbike DNA,” the S 1000 R offers 170 hp at 11,000 rpm and a peak torque of 114 Nm at 9,250 rpm. With a 0-100 km/h sprint time of 3.2 seconds and a top speed electronically capped at 250 km/h, the motorcycle is built for thrill seekers.
The bike comes with advanced features including Headlight Pro with daytime running lights, a 6.5-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, riding modes (Rain, Road, Dynamic), Dynamic Traction Control, ABS Pro, Hill Start Control, and USB charging. Optional Dynamic, Comfort, and M Sport packages offer enhancements like Dynamic Damping Control, cruise control, heated grips, sports silencer, forged wheels, and GPS lap timing.
Customers can choose from three paint schemes – Blackstorm Metallic, Bluefire/Mugiallo Yellow (Style Sport), and the exclusive M Motorsport livery in Light White Uni with signature M colours. All models are backed by a three-year unlimited kilometre warranty with roadside assistance. BMW India Financial Services has also rolled out customised financing solutions, including rider gear and accessories packages.
