A fresh war of words has erupted between BJP MP and actor Kangana Ranaut and Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) chief spokesperson Saurav Das over the recent student protests against alleged irregularities in the NEET examination.

Ranaut, who had earlier described sections of the protesters as "Generation Gutter, ugly and corrupt" and said their language on social media left her needing "healing" and a "digital detox", responded sharply after Das criticised her remarks. In a social media post, the Mandi MP highlighted her achievements before entering politics, saying that by the age of 28 she had already won two National Awards and built a successful career as a filmmaker, actor, producer, screenwriter and entrepreneur. Referring to Das, she wrote that while she had been in public life for two decades and was balancing multiple professions alongside her parliamentary responsibilities, "someone like him who is totally useless and unemployed" would never understand what it meant to be in constant demand. She also advised him to "start with learning some skill", adding that his criticism stemmed from "personal issues" and remarking that he was "not a student".

Das hit back, saying Ranaut's remarks carried little weight even within her own party. He claimed that neither young voters nor members of Generation Z or Generation Alpha took her seriously and questioned her commitment to public life. Referring to videos from her visit to her Lok Sabha constituency in Himachal Pradesh, Das said Ranaut herself had admitted that she had underestimated the workload of being an MP, which, according to him, reflected her seriousness towards the role. The exchange follows Ranaut's criticism of the student-led agitation over the NEET paper leak, during which she condemned what she described as obscene language and personal attacks by protesters and called videos from the demonstrations "puke-inducing". The protests, led by the CJP, concluded after Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned over the controversy.
