Tamannaah Bhatia steals the spotlight in romantic ‘Samjho Na’ track
The makers of Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia-starrer The Vvaan on Thursday released the film’s first song, “Samjho Na”, offering audiences a glimpse of the romantic chemistry between the lead actors.
The track marks the first time Sidharth and Tamannaah have appeared together as a romantic pair on screen. While the film’s promotional material so far has focused largely on its world of folklore, mystery and supernatural forces, “Samjho Na” shifts attention to the relationship between their characters. Set against the film’s fantastical backdrop, the music video features intimate and romantic moments between the two actors, introducing a softer side to a story otherwise built around adventure and mystery.
Jubin lends his voice
“Samjho Na” has been composed and produced by Tanishk Bagchi, with Jubin Nautiyal and Suvarna Tiwari lending their voices to the romantic number. The lyrics have been penned by Manoj Muntashir.
Speaking about the song, Jubin said he connected instantly with its innocence and emotion and praised Tanishk’s melody and Manoj’s lyrics for capturing the tenderness of love.
He also said Sidharth and Tamannaah’s chemistry brought freshness to the track and expressed hope that the song would resonate with listeners.
The song has been released under the Zee Music label, with Krishna Kishor handling additional live production. Eric Pillai has mixed and mastered the track, assisted by Michael Edwin Pillai.
Folklore meets romance
The Vvaan brings together TVF founder Arunabh Kumar, director Deepak Mishra and producer Ektaa R Kapoor for a film that seeks to combine Indian folklore with mainstream fantasy entertainment.
The film blends folklore, fantasy, adventure, mystery, humour and romance, with its story revolving around a mysterious forest and supernatural forces.
The project also marks a new collaboration between Balaji Motion Pictures and TVF. It is presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms, in association with TVF and 11.11 Production.
Written by Arunabh Kumar and directed by Deepak Mishra, the film has Manu Anand as its director of photography and visual director. It is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar and Niraj Kothari.
The makers have also expanded the film’s mythology beyond the screen through The Legend of Vvaan, a comic book exploring the folklore surrounding its universe.
The Vvaan is scheduled to hit theatres on September 25.
