'Stay within your limits': Govinda hits back at wife Ssunita Ahuja amid affair rumours

Actor Govinda has publicly responded to his wife Ssunita Ahuja after her comments about his recent appearances with debutant actor Komal Rani Swarnkar triggered a fresh controversy surrounding their marriage. In videos circulating online, the 62-year-old actor accused Ssunita of interfering in his professional life and attempting to damage his public image. He also asked her to “stay within her limits”, amid renewed speculation over his personal life.

Public spat intensifies

The controversy erupted after Ssunita reacted to Govinda being seen publicly with Komal, who is set to make her Bollywood debut opposite him in the upcoming film Roopa.

Ssunita's remarks revived speculation about Govinda's alleged extramarital relationships, an issue she has spoken about publicly on previous occasions.

Responding to her comments, Govinda used sarcasm to suggest that his wife had embarked on a “clean-up” exercise and was now trying to remove him from her life as well.

The actor then drew a distinction between his personal and professional lives, arguing that his work necessarily takes place outside his home. He accused Ssunita of interfering in his professional commitments and questioned her criticism of his association with his co-star.

Govinda also referred to Ssunita's own professional engagements, including her food show Maa Hai Na and Lock Upp Season 2. He claimed that she had earlier sought his support for her appearances on the shows through their daughter Tina Ahuja.

He said he had supported her professional ventures and maintained that she had every right to seek his help.

However, Govinda objected to Ssunita's public comments about him and said she should be mindful of what she says. He warned that circumstances could change and that she might need his support again in the future.

The public exchange has brought renewed attention to Govinda and Ssunita's marriage. The couple married in 1987 and have two children, Tina and Yashvardhan Ahuja.

Their relationship has repeatedly been the subject of speculation in recent years, particularly after Ssunita made public remarks about their marriage and Govinda's alleged affairs.

The latest disagreement has now spilled into the open, with both sides making their positions public as speculation over Govinda's association with Komal continues.
