Shah Rukh Khan's Rs 300-crore Mannat gets a makeover: What's changing at the iconic home
Shah Rukh Khan's iconic Mumbai residence Mannat is undergoing extensive renovation, with changes reportedly being made to the rear portion of the property. Producer and real estate developer Anand Pandit has shared some details about the work, saying that additional floors are being constructed at the celebrity home.
More floors being added to Mannat
Speaking about his real estate ventures on Ravi Kewalramani's podcast, as reported by The Indian Express, Pandit revealed that he is currently associated with two properties belonging to Shah Rukh Khan.
Sharing details about the renovation at Mannat, he said, "We're adding a few floors to the back portion of Mannat."
The property, valued at around Rs 300 crore, has long been one of Mumbai's most recognisable celebrity homes. Its location at Bandstand and association with Shah Rukh have made it a landmark for the actor's fans.
Pandit also spoke about his company's work with other Bollywood personalities. "I got very good clients in that project. Hrithik Roshan bought two floors, Rakesh Roshan bought three, and Ajay Devgn also bought a floor. It became an iconic project at that time."
He added, "Our client base is almost entirely made up of celebrities. Eighty to 90 per cent of Bollywood is with Lotus."
Shah Rukh's old connection with Carter Road
Pandit also recalled a separate redevelopment project involving Shree Amrit Society on Carter Road. At the time, he was interested in redeveloping the property but was unaware of Shah Rukh's personal connection to the building.
"When we were building it, I had no idea. Although Shah Rukh sir did tell me about it once, he didn't mention the name of the building," Pandit recalled.
He later learned that the apartment was significant to the actor because it was the first home he purchased after moving to Mumbai from Delhi.
An excited Shah Rukh reportedly told Pandit, "I should call up the chairperson of the society and tell them to give the property only to Lotus."
"He was very excited about it. My excitement increased a little because of Shah Rukh sir's apartment. But I loved that place because the size and location of the project are so good," Pandit added.
Family moved out during renovation
In April 2025, Shah Rukh and his family temporarily moved to Puja Casa, a luxury apartment in Pali Hill, Bandra, as renovation work at Mannat got underway.
For years, Mannat has remained closely linked to Shah Rukh's public image, with large crowds gathering outside the residence on occasions such as his birthday and Eid.
