Shah Rukh Khan overtakes Virat Kohli to become India's most valuable celebrity brand

Shah Rukh Khan has reclaimed the top spot as India's most valuable celebrity brand, overtaking cricketer Virat Kohli in the latest Celebrity Brand Valuation Report 2025 released by Kroll. The actor, who last appeared on the big screen in Dunki in December 2023, now leads the rankings with an estimated brand value of USD 177.9 million.

Virat Kohli, who topped the list in 2024, has slipped to third place this year, while actor Ranveer Singh has climbed to the second spot following the success of Dhurandhar.

Shah Rukh leads, Ranveer rises

According to the report, Shah Rukh moved up from third place last year to claim the top position with a brand value of USD 177.9 million.

Ranveer Singh retained the second spot among the country's most valuable celebrity brands, although his ranking improved relative to Kohli. His estimated brand value now stands at USD 162.9 million.

Virat Kohli follows closely in third place with a brand value of USD 158.4 million after leading the rankings in 2024.

Cricket legends and Bollywood stars dominate list

Sachin Tendulkar occupies the fourth position with a brand value of USD 125.9 million, while former India captain MS Dhoni ranks fifth at USD 115.3 million.

Among actresses, Alia Bhatt is the highest-ranked celebrity at sixth place with USD 93.9 million. Deepika Padukone follows in seventh with USD 89.2 million, while Hrithik Roshan, Amitabh Bachchan and Akshay Kumar complete the top 10 with brand values of USD 88.9 million, USD 80.8 million and USD 80 million, respectively.

The report also features several other prominent names, including Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Salman Khan, Rohit Sharma, Kareena Kapoor, Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani, Kriti Sanon, Ananya Panday and Jasprit Bumrah.

Shah Rukh's next big release

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his next theatrical release, King, directed by Siddharth Anand. The film also stars Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan in key roles and is scheduled to release in cinemas on December 24, 2026.
