Salman Khan helps body double Parvez Kazi after he undergoes heart surgery

Parvez Kazi was diagnosed with three heart blockages after falling unwell during a film shoot and is now recovering after undergoing surgery at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital

Salman Khan has stepped in to help his longtime body double Parvez Kazi after the stunt performer underwent emergency heart surgery at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital.

Kazi reportedly fell unwell while performing a stunt during the shoot of Salman Khan's upcoming pan-India film with Nayanthara, reportedly titled 'Monster'. Doctors later found three blockages in his heart, following which he underwent surgery. He is now recovering and is expected to stay away from work for around three months.

Salman ensures medical support

Kazi, who has worked as Salman Khan's body double for several years, is known to be close to the actor. Following the health scare, Salman reportedly ensured that Kazi received the required medical facilities during his treatment.

The incident briefly affected the film's ongoing schedule. With Kazi unavailable during his recovery, Salman may perform some of the action sequences himself. The production team has reportedly made changes to the shoot and introduced additional precautions and security arrangements for the actor during stunt scenes.

Kazi has doubled for Salman in several films

Parvez Kazi has worked alongside Salman Khan on several major projects over the years. His credits include 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo', 'Sultan', 'Tiger Zinda Hai', 'Race 3', 'Bharat', 'Dabangg 3' and 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai'.

Meanwhile, Salman's war drama 'Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace', earlier announced as 'Battle of Galwan', is awaiting release. The film has reportedly been delayed amid concerns from the Ministry of Defence over its storyline.

What we know about 'Monster'

The upcoming film marks Salman Khan's first collaboration with filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju's production house. It also pairs Salman with Nayanthara for the first time.

The cast is said to include Sagarika Ghatge and Muzammil Ibrahim, among others. The project has been drawing attention for its large-scale action sequences.

A source close to the production told Filmfare, "Salman is completely hands-on right now. He doesn't want the schedule to lose momentum."

The film continues to be shot, with Salman and Paidipally recently celebrating the filmmaker's birthday on the sets. Images and glimpses from the occasion were also shared with audiences.
