Pooja Hegde reunites with Vijay for his 69th film, directed by H Vinoth, set for Oct 2025 release

Actor Pooja Hegde is all set to reunite with Tamil superstar Vijay for his upcoming 69th film, the makers announced on Wednesday. Hegde previously worked alongside Vijay in the 2022 film Beast, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar.

The film is being produced by KVN Productions, who shared the news on Instagram. "Bringing the stunning duo back to the big screen once again. We know you’ve already cracked it, but officially... Welcome onboard @hegdepooja #Thalapathy69CastReveal," the production house captioned their post.

Hegde, excited about the collaboration, expressed her joy on Instagram Stories, writing, "Yaaaaasss! Hoping to create magic once again with the one and only Thalapathy @actorvijay." This untitled film will also feature Bollywood actor Bobby Deol, who was confirmed as part of the cast just a day before Hegde's announcement. Directed by H Vinoth, known for films like Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru and several Ajith-starrers, the movie is set to release in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi in October 2025.

Vijay, who recently launched his political party, Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), plans to enter full-time politics following this film. The actor has had a successful career with hit films like Leo, Mersal, Master, and Bigil. He will contest the 2026 Tamil Nadu assembly elections.

With music by the popular composer Anirudh Ravichander, the film marks an exciting reunion for fans of Vijay and Pooja Hegde. The project is produced by Venkat K Narayana of KVN Productions. Pooja Hegde was last seen in Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and is currently gearing up for her next film, Deva, co-starring Shahid Kapoor.
