'Haiwaan' teaser out: Saif Ali Khan's blind man faces a sinister Akshay Kumar

The teaser of 'Haiwaan', starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, was released on Wednesday, offering a dark and suspenseful first look at the upcoming thriller.

Directed by Priyadarshan, the teaser gives away little about the plot but sets up a mystery around its two central characters. The film appears to explore the thin line between a hero and a villain, with the teaser repeatedly building towards the question: “Hero ya Haiwaan?”

Saif plays a blind man

Saif Ali Khan's character is introduced as a blind man who walks with the help of a stick. His character remains largely mysterious, with the teaser offering only brief glimpses into his world.

Akshay Kumar, meanwhile, appears to play a more menacing character. At one point, he is seen watching Saif from close quarters, adding another layer of uncertainty to their relationship. The teaser does not reveal whether the two characters are allies, rivals or connected by something darker.

Rather than explaining the story, the teaser relies on shadows, atmospheric visuals and quick cuts to create an unsettling mood. The identities and motivations of the characters are kept under wraps.

Boman Irani, Saiyami Kher join cast

The film also stars Boman Irani, Saiyami Kher and Shriya Pilgaonkar in pivotal roles.

The makers have described Haiwaan as a thriller built around mystery, danger and “haiwaaniyat”.

Akshay-Priyadarshan reunion

Haiwaan marks another collaboration between Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan. The duo have previously worked together on films, including Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhooth Bangla.
