The Haryana government has carried out a fresh administrative reshuffle, transferring and assigning new responsibilities to five IAS officers with immediate effect.
The changes cover key portfolios including industries and commerce, power generation, warehousing, health and urban development. The state government has also issued separate orders concerning three Haryana Civil Service officers as part of the wider reshuffle.
Yash Garg gets additional HARTRON charge
Yash Garg, currently Director General and Secretary of the Industries and Commerce Department and Director General of the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department, has been given the additional charge of Managing Director of the Haryana State Electronics Development Corporation (HARTRON).
Garg is a 2009-batch IAS officer. He will retain his existing responsibilities while taking charge of HARTRON.
Rajnarayan Kaushik moved to warehousing corporation
Rajnarayan Kaushik has been posted as Managing Director of the Haryana State Warehousing Corporation and Secretary of Secretariat Establishment.
Kaushik, a 2010-batch IAS officer according to recent reports, was previously serving as Managing Director of HARTRON and the Haryana State Warehousing Corporation.
Sharma, Nagpal and Yadav receive new responsibilities
Mani Ram Sharma, currently Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department and Chief Settlement Commissioner, has been given the additional charge of Managing Director of the Haryana Power Generation Corporation Limited.
Sharma is a 2009-batch IAS officer. Recent reports noted that he had previously been under the Central Bureau of Investigation's scanner in connection with a ₹657-crore bank scam, but was not chargesheeted.
Dr Munish Nagpal, who was serving as Special Secretary, Secretariat Establishment, has been posted as Special Secretary, Health Department. Nagpal is a 2016-batch IAS officer.
Aniruddh Yadav, currently Additional Managing Director of the Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation and Chief Executive Officer of the Global City Project in Gurugram, has been given the additional charge of Mission Director of the Urban Challenge Fund Scheme.
The Haryana government's official release said the orders covering the five IAS officers were issued with immediate effect.
The wider administrative exercise also includes three HCS officers. Kanwar Singh has been posted as Joint Director of the Food and Drugs Administration and Joint Chief Executive Officer of the Ayushman Bharat Haryana Health Protection Authority. Nasseb Kumar has been given the additional charge of Member Secretary of the Haryana Vimukt Ghumantu Jati Vikas Board, while Mayank Verma has been posted as Joint Director, Urban Local Bodies, Haryana.
