Haryana BJP to form 11-member committees at every booth within three months

Haryana BJP to strengthen grassroots network with 11-member committees at every booth

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Haryana has set a three-month deadline to form or reconstitute 11-member committees at every polling booth as part of efforts to strengthen its grassroots organisation.

The decision was taken as former Union minister and BJP national general secretary Smriti Irani began a two-day visit to Haryana on Thursday to review the party's organisational activities. Irani, who is also the BJP's in-charge for Haryana affairs, is meeting party leaders and office-bearers to assess organisational work and strengthen coordination at the grassroots level.

Focus on booth empowerment and welfare schemes

According to the BJP, discussions on the first day of Irani's visit centred on empowering booth-level units, increasing workers' participation and ensuring that government welfare schemes reach eligible beneficiaries.

The party has also decided to ensure the appointment of panna pramukhs at every booth. These workers are responsible for specific pages of the electoral roll and are tasked with connecting with voters in their assigned areas.

As part of the organisational drive, senior BJP office-bearers will visit districts and interact with party workers.

Irani to meet leaders across party organisation

During her visit, Irani will meet frontline BJP leaders in Haryana, state office-bearers, district presidents and district in-charges.

Her schedule also includes meetings with leaders who have served three terms as state office-bearers, former state presidents of the party's morchas, and chairpersons and vice-chairpersons of boards and corporations.

The meetings are intended to review organisational activities and strengthen the party's presence across the state.

BJP leaders welcome Irani in Panchkula

Earlier, Haryana BJP president Archana Gupta welcomed Irani at the party's state office, Panchkamal, in Panchkula. National secretary and Member of Parliament Bhola Singh, along with state general secretary (organisation) Pawan Rana, was also present to welcome her.
