BJP outlines Seva Sankalp Abhiyan
The entire world has witnessed the prime minister Narendra 25 years of service, dedication, sacrifice, and selflessness, he said during a coordination meeting between the government and the party organisation regarding the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' at the BJP's state headquarters, 'Panchkamal,' in Panchkula.
The 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' will be observed from September 17 -- Modi's birthday, to October 17. The campaign that aims to mark Modi's 25 years in public life was announced by the BJP on Wednesday. He began his tenure as the chief minister of Gujarat on October 7, 2001.
Saini said the monthlong campaign will provide new generations with an opportunity "to draw inspiration and lessons on nation-building".
The chief minister said the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' would be taken to every household in the state. The framework for the 12 scheduled programmes under it will be based on public participation. Every party worker should encourage the public in their vicinity to participate in these initiatives, he said.
Events planned across Haryana
On September 17, which is observed as 'Seva Diwas', BJP workers and others across the state will light 20 lakh 'diyas' to convey their blessings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP state president Archana Gupta said.
Plans are also underway to light between 50,000 and 1 lakh lamps at select historical sites across the state, she said.
Gupta said the chief minister will inaugurate a series of blood donation camps in Kurukshetra on September 17. The camps will subsequently be held on different days across the state, she said.
This will be followed by 'Seva Jyoti Yatra' and several other public service initiatives, symbolising Modi's 25 years of service, she said.
Campaign to highlight public service
The 'Aangan Ka Milan' programme will be held to honour Anganwadi workers, helpers and ASHA workers for their role in women's health and nutrition.
The 'Kahani Badlav Ki' campaign will showcase, through videos, real-life stories of people who have benefited from schemes of the Narendra Modi government.
A 'Jan Sevak Mahakumbh' will be organised at Surajkund to conclude the month-long campaign, where public representatives from various sectors will take a pledge for a 'Viksit Bharat', Gupta said.
BJP national general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Bhatia emphasised that the government and the party organisation should work in coordination to devise effective plans for major events, ensuring that the campaign's message reaches society on a broad scale.
Kuljeet Chahal, convener of the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' said the prime minster's 25 years in public life have demonstrated that "power is not an instrument of authority, but a medium for public service".
