Haryana Congress President Rao Narender Singh on Friday said that Block Congress Committee conventions will be organised across the state till September 30.
These conventions will facilitate direct interaction with party workers and help formulate strategies to strengthen the organisation at the grassroots level, he said.
Singh said that he will lead the Narnaul Block Congress Committee convention on September 5. Lalit Yadav, MLA from Mundawar (Rajasthan), will participate in the convention as the special guest.
AICC In-charge Haryana Sanjay Dutt and Singh will preside over various Block Congress Committee conventions.
As per the scheduled programme, conventions will be held on September 6 at Pingnawa (Nuh) and Badshahpur (Gurugram), and on September 7 at Shahabad Rural (Kurukshetra) and Saha (Ambala).
Focus on public issues
Singh said the conventions will also focus on strongly raising pressing issues concerning the people of Haryana and preparing Congress workers to fight for their resolution.
He said that issues such as unemployment, deteriorating law and order, and students' concerns will be given prominence.
Congress eyes block-to-booth-level activation
Singh said that the Congress aims to strengthen and activate the organisation from the block level down to the booth level. Every worker will be entrusted with the responsibility of reaching out to the people, raising their concerns and bringing the ground reality of the government's policies before the public, he said.
He said that the upcoming Block Congress Committee conventions will give new energy to the Congress organisation in Haryana and further expand the party's struggle on issues concerning the public.
