Delhi had a cloudy start to the day with overcast skies and 60 per cent humidity recorded in the morning hours on Friday.
The weather office has forecast moderate rain during the day.
The minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 27.8 degree Celsius, 1.4 notches above normal, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 35 degree Celsius, it said.
Temperature recorded across weather stations
Among the weather stations, Palam recorded a minimum temperature of 25.6 degree Celsius, 0.5 degrees below normal, while Lodi Road recorded 27.2 degree Celsius, 2.2 degrees above normal.
The minimum temperature at Ridge was 22.4 degree Celsius, 3.1 degrees below normal, while Ayanagar recorded 27.1 degree Celsius, 1.3 degrees above normal.
Rainfall recorded at some stations
In the 24 hours till 8.30 am, Ridge recorded 10.8 mm of rainfall and Ayanagar received 0.2 mm. Safdarjung, Palam and Lodi Road recorded no rainfall during the period.
Delhi's AQI remains 'moderate'
The Air Quality Index (AQI) in the city stood at 128 at 9 am, placing it in the "moderate" category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
According to the CPCB's AQI scale, a reading between 0 and 50 is considered "good", 51-100 "satisfactory", 101-200 "moderate", 201-300 "poor", 301-400 "very poor" and 401-500 "severe".
