Delhi wakes up to above-normal temperature, rain forecast later today

The IMD has forecast a generally cloudy sky and isolated light rain in Delhi, with the maximum temperature likely to reach 33°C

Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 27.8 degree Celsius on Tuesday, 1.3 degrees above normal, as the weather office forecast a generally cloudy sky with light rain at isolated places later in the day.

According to the India Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature at Palam was 25.4 degree Celsius, 0.8 degrees below normal, while Lodi Road recorded 27.6 degree Celsius, 1.6 degrees above normal.

The Ridge recorded a minimum of 24 degree Celsius, 0.9 degrees below normal, and Ayanagar recorded 27.4 degree Celsius, 2.3 degrees above normal.

The IMD said the maximum temperature is expected to stand at 33 degrees Celsius.

The air quality in the national capital at 9 am stood at 98 in the 'satisfactory' category.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board, an AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe'.
