AAP accuses BJP of trying to usurp CM's Flagstaff Road bungalow amid allotment dispute

Days after taking residence at Flagstaff Road, AAP accuses BJP of spreading rumors and obstructing the official allotment of the bungalow vacated by Arvind Kejriwal, amid ongoing political tensions

.Days after Delhi Chief Minister Atishi moved into bungalow number 6 on Flagstaff Road in Civil Lines, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) alleged on Wednesday that the bungalow has yet to be officially allotted to her. AAP leaders accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of attempting to "usurp" the property.

Atishi relocated to the bungalow on Monday after her predecessor, Arvind Kejriwal, vacated it to move to a new address in Lutyens' Delhi. During a press conference on Wednesday, AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh accused the BJP of spreading numerous rumors in recent days and trying to disrupt the AAP. He claimed that since the BJP has been unsuccessful in winning assembly elections in Delhi, it is now attempting to "usurp" the chief minister's bungalow.

Singh stated that although Kejriwal has vacated the bungalow, it has not yet been officially allotted to Atishi, and the chief minister's camp office has also been emptied. He presented documents confirming Kejriwal's vacating of the property. In response, the BJP shared a purported letter from the Public Works Department (PWD), alleging that the handover of the bungalow after Kejriwal's departure had not been completed and that the keys remained with him.
