YSR Congress Party chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy criticized the ruling TDP-led NDA government in Andhra Pradesh, claiming that the state is experiencing a "mafia era." He accused Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and MLAs of accepting "taxes" from businesses and mining operations, implying a corrupt system. Reddy contrasted the current administration with his previous government, where Direct Benefit Transfers (DBT) were implemented. He stated that now, only "DPT" is apparent—meaning "dochuko" (loot), "panchuko" (share), and "tinuko" (eat).
He expressed concern about the inefficiency of the government, which, he argued, has been unable to present a comprehensive budget in the Assembly. Reddy attributed this to fears that the public would demand accountability regarding the "super six" promises made by the TDP during the election campaign. Furthermore, he remarked that it is unprecedented for any government in the country to operate on a "Vote on Account" budget for such an extended period. Reddy also accused Naidu of manipulating the media to conceal the government's failures.
