Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya is set to launch the eShram-One Stop Solution on Monday, an initiative aimed at providing unorganised workers with seamless access to various government schemes, the labour ministry announced in a statement.
The eShram-One Stop Solution will serve as a mediator, ensuring that unorganised workers are aware of and can easily benefit from government programmes specifically designed for them. This platform is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to implement the vision laid out in the recent Budget announcement, which highlighted the need for eShram to evolve into a comprehensive solution for the unorganised labour sector. The initiative will consolidate information on all social security and welfare schemes meant for unorganised workers, facilitating the effective implementation of these programmes through a single, integrated platform.
As of now, 12 schemes from different central ministries have been integrated into the eShram system. Launched on August 26, 2021, the platform has already enrolled more than 30 crore unorganised workers, demonstrating its widespread appeal and significant social impact. This milestone reflects the government’s dedication to enhancing the welfare of unorganised workers across the country.
