Stones were pelted on the Mumbai CSMT-bound Duronto Express while it was between Borkhedi and Sindi stations on the Nagpur-Wardha line, though no one was hurt in the incident, a Central Railway official said on Saturday.
The incident took place around 8:30pm on Friday, CR Chief Public Relations Officer Swapnil Nila told PTI Videos.
Stones were pelted on a 2AC coach and two 3AC coaches, though there was no report of injury to any passenger, he added.
The railway police and Railway Protection Force have begun a probe into the incident, the official said.
Nila asked people to approach police in case they had any information about the incident.
