Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on Wednesday lauded the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC)-Congress alliance's win in the Jammu and Kashmir polls, calling it a "stupendous victory." He described the outcome as a pivotal moment for the region, signaling the beginning of a "just and inclusive future" that respects the aspirations of every Kashmiri.
In a post on social media platform 'X,' Stalin congratulated the JKNC-INC alliance and the people of Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the victory represents more than just a triumph for the INDIA alliance and democracy. He emphasized that it is a mandate to restore the dignity and statehood that the Union BJP government had unjustly taken away. Stalin added, "This moment marks the beginning of a just and inclusive future that honours the hopes of every Kashmiri."
In the Jammu and Kashmir polls, the National Conference (NC) emerged as the single largest party, securing 42 seats. With its alliance partner Congress, which won six seats, the coalition is set to form the next government in the Union Territory.
