A Re-NEET UG 2026 aspirant from Nagpur was left stunned after discovering that his admit card had assigned him an examination centre in Abu Dhabi, apparently due to an error in the system. The incident surfaced just a day before the re-examination scheduled for June 21. The student, Abdullah Mohammad Talib, had registered for the examination from Nagpur and expected to be allotted a centre within India. However, when he downloaded his admit card from the National Testing Agency (NTA) portal, he found that his designated examination venue was located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The unexpected allotment created immediate concern for the candidate and his family. According to reports, Abdullah does not possess a passport, making it impossible for him to travel overseas and appear for the examination.
Images of the admit card shared on social media reportedly showed an Indian school in Abu Dhabi listed as the examination venue. The matter was subsequently brought to the notice of NTA authorities for urgent intervention. Following the complaint, the NTA is said to have acknowledged the mistake and attributed it to a technical glitch. The agency reportedly assured the family that the issue would be resolved and that a corrected admit card carrying an appropriate examination centre would be issued. Sources familiar with the matter said the family received communication from the NTA indicating that the necessary corrections would be completed by the evening.
The incident has once again highlighted the importance of carefully verifying details on examination documents. Candidates have been advised to immediately notify the NTA if they find any discrepancies in their personal information, examination centre allocation, or other critical details. The Re-NEET UG 2026 examination will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode on June 21 from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. Candidates must carry their admit cards and other required documents to their allotted examination centres.
