Prime Minister Narendra Modi travelled by Delhi Metro on Saturday as he made his way to Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) for the institution's centenary celebrations.
Modi is scheduled to attend the event at 7 pm, marking 100 years of the Delhi University college and its contribution to higher education.

Ahead of the celebrations, Modi highlighted the institution's role in education and its wider contribution to society.
"In a short while from now, at 7 PM, I will be at Delhi University's iconic Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) to take part in its centenary celebrations. This college has distinguished itself over the years, making a mark for academic excellence, institution-building and for nurturing generations of leaders in business, public life and society," Prime Minister Modi said in a post on X.
His metro journey to the college also comes as SRCC marks a major milestone in its history.
SRCC completes 100 years
Shri Ram College of Commerce is among India's premier institutions of higher education, according to an official statement. The college is known for its programmes and academic work in Commerce, Economics and Management.
The centenary celebrations mark 100 years since the institution's establishment and recognise its journey as a prominent centre of higher learning under Delhi University.
Over the decades, SRCC has built a reputation for academic excellence and has produced generations of students who have gone on to contribute to business, public life and society.
The Prime Minister's visit is part of the college's celebrations marking the completion of a century. The event is scheduled for Saturday evening at the SRCC campus.
