The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Tuesday announced a fresh set of appointments across its organisational structure as the group continues its nationwide ‘School Thik Karo’ campaign and gears up for a march in New Delhi next month.
The latest appointments include organisation joint secretaries, national spokespersons and members of coordination committees for the North, East and West zones.
CJP announces new office-bearers
The organisation named Rekha Sharma, Akshay Shinde, Prem Aakash, Anam Uzzama and Balakrishna Shukla as organisation joint secretaries.
Sudhir Sangwan and Siddhant Bhardwaj were appointed national spokespersons.
The North Zone Coordination Committee includes Aadesh Pradhan Gurjar, Azad Mohit, Mohd. Farhan Khan, Vishesh Karnwal, Ujjwal Pandey, Pooja Saini, Aftab Singh Virk, Arshdeep Singh Kochar, Zahid Ahmed Male, Mehvish Ali, Shreshth Singh Khera, Ajay Deshwal, Dr Vivek Sangwan, Mukesh Allrounder, Ram Jhakhad, Harsh Kartikey Singh and Advocate Aarushi Ghai.
The East Zone Coordination Committee comprises Sheikh Maruf Uddin, Dedipya Ganguly, Sheikh Abdul Hafiz, Parkarti Sahu, Rakesh Ranjan Samal, Swapnil Mishra, Ashutosh Ranjan, Khushbu Wahab Choudhary, Mayank Pandey, Satish Yadav, Aslam Khan, Rasika Khare, Sachin Bharwal, Kritika Kashyap, Mohan Yadav and Raman Deep.
The West Zone Coordination Committee includes Dr. Nitin Dighe, Adv. Jaisingh Shere, Durgesh Kuhike, Nilakshi Wankhede, Sarosh Shaikh, Ashutosh Sharma, Rohit Patel, Aniket Shivhare, Ram Patel, Ved Trivedi and Pritesh Chawda.
“We look forward to building a stronger and more active organisation across the country,” the CJP wrote on X in its announcement of the new teams.
CJP plans September 5 Delhi march
The organisational expansion comes ahead of the group's planned march in the national capital on September 5. The march will be held from India Gate to Delhi Police Headquarters.
According to the group, families of deceased NEET victims and alleged victims of police brutality during the July 20 ‘Sansad Chalao’ march will lead the protest.
The announcement followed a meeting of the CJP's national working committee, which reviewed what it described as the government's failure to fulfil commitments made on July 25.
Group alleges delay over promises
The CJP said the commitments included withdrawal or quashing of FIRs against students and protesters and compensation for families of deceased NEET victims.
“For a month now, instead of implementing what was solemnly promised, the Government has played delay games, hidden behind technicalities, and avoided giving clear commitments even before the Supreme Court of India,” the statement read.
The group further alleged that the government had not given a commitment after the Supreme Court directed it to submit a list of FIRs registered across the country.
