The BRICS group has agreed on a joint declaration that is not expected to name any country but will condemn unilateral wars, four sources told Reuters on Saturday.
The bloc, comprising Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Iran and the United Arab Emirates, is holding its annual summit in New Delhi this weekend.
Negotiators from the member countries have been working to bridge differences between Iran and the UAE, which are on opposing sides of the Gulf conflict, as they seek to reach a consensus on the declaration.
The leaders of the BRICS member countries are expected to formally approve the declaration on Saturday, the sources said.
