The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday announced a new team of national office bearers under party president Nitin Nabin, bringing several experienced leaders back into key organisational positions while also giving responsibilities to newer faces.
The reshuffle comes ahead of Assembly elections in several states, including Uttar Pradesh and Punjab. Former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia has been appointed national vice president, while former Union minister Smriti Irani has returned to a prominent organisational role as a national general secretary.
Smriti Irani gets key organisational role
Irani is among eight leaders appointed national general secretaries in the latest reshuffle. The list also includes Vinod Tawde, Sunil Bansal, Biplab Kumar Deb, Satish Poonia, Gajendra Patel, Harish Dwivedi and Sanjay Bhatia.
Raje, meanwhile, is among 13 leaders appointed national vice presidents. The list includes Tirath Singh Rawat, Ram Madhav, Baijayant Jay Panda, D Purandeshwari, Rekha Verma, Manpreet Singh Badal and Bharti Pravin Pawar.
The BJP has also retained B L Santhosh as national general secretary (organisation), with Shivprakash and Saudan Singh named national joint general secretaries (organisation).
Amit Malviya out, new faces added
A notable change is the absence of Amit Malviya from the new list. Malviya had been associated with the BJP's digital and social media operations.
Deepak Mhaskey of Chhattisgarh has now been appointed social media convenor. Priti Gandhi, Shivanand Dwivedi, Alok Bhatt and Arun Yadav have been named social media co-convenors.
The party has also brought several new faces into its national organisation. Kavita Patidar, K Surendran, Manoj Tigga and Sandeep Pathak feature among the newly appointed national secretaries.
Piyush Goyal has been named national treasurer, while Rajesh Mangal will serve as national joint treasurer. Tarun Chugh has been appointed central office in-charge.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the newly appointed office bearers on X.
