Bureau of Immigration makes Air Suvidha form mandatory for all international arrivals

India has made the Air Suvidha Self-Declaration Form mandatory for all international arrivals. Here's who needs to submit it and how to complete the process online

International passengers travelling to India must complete the Air Suvidha Self-Declaration Form (SDF) before arriving in the country. The Bureau of Immigration has reiterated that the requirement applies to all international travellers, including Indian citizens, Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders and foreign nationals, irrespective of their nationality or travel history.

In a reminder shared on social media platforms, including X and Instagram, the Bureau urged passengers to submit the form before beginning their journey. The requirement comes amid the ongoing Ebola outbreak and is part of India's public health surveillance measures at international entry points.

Travellers have been advised to provide their health and travel details in advance to help authorities identify passengers who may need additional screening upon arrival.

What is the Air Suvidha Self-Declaration Form?

Air Suvidha 2.0 is an online health declaration platform introduced by the Ministry of Civil Aviation in collaboration with Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) and the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Launched on June 25, 2026, the upgraded portal allows international passengers to submit their health information and travel history digitally before entering India. The declaration covers travel over the previous 21 days, possible exposure to infections and any relevant symptoms.

The information is used by health and immigration officials to determine whether a passenger requires further medical assessment.

When should you fill out the Air Suvidha form?

According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation's advisory, passengers can submit the Self-Declaration Form up to 24 hours before their arrival in India. Completing it before boarding, preferably during web check-in, can help avoid delays at the airport.

Once submitted, travellers should download the acknowledgement and keep it handy. Airport health officials or immigration authorities may ask to see it during arrival formalities. Depending on the declaration, passengers may also undergo additional health screening.

How to fill the Air Suvidha Self-Declaration Form

International passengers can access the official portal at https://airsuvidha.civilaviation.gov.in/.

Before starting the application, travellers should keep these details ready:

Valid passport details

Indian visa details, wherever applicable

Flight ticket or boarding pass

Address of stay in India

Travel history and transit details

Active mobile number and email address for OTP verification

Medical reference letter, if applicable

Applicants must enter their personal information, flight details, travel history and contact address in India before completing the health declaration. They should check all entries carefully before submitting the form and downloading the acknowledgement.

Air Suvidha form is free: Beware of fake websites

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has cautioned passengers against fraudulent websites impersonating the Air Suvidha 2.0 portal. Some fake platforms reportedly redirect users to payment gateways.

The government has clarified that submitting the official Self-Declaration Form is completely free. Travellers should use only the authorised government website and avoid paying any fee for the service.

With the declaration mandatory for international arrivals, passengers should complete the process before departure and keep their acknowledgement accessible for airport checks.
