Students preparing for NEET, JEE, GRE, SAT, AP, MCAT and other major examinations will be able to use Google's new study features.
The company’s student hub will allow users to create study notebooks, flashcards, graphs, images and interactive visualisations. Google Search’s AI tools will also help students generate interactive visuals, organise projects, create custom files and take practice quizzes.
The Lens feature will be available to help students understand difficult concepts.
Free AI subscription for Indian students
Google said eligible college students in India and other countries outside the US will be able to access Google AI Plus free of charge for 12 months.
“Eligible college students in the U.S. can get one year free of Google AI Pro — providing access to Gemini Spark, increased usage limits, and 5 TB of storage. Eligible college students outside the U.S. can access Google AI Plus, free of charge, featuring increased usage limits, 400GB of storage, alongside bundled discounts on Google AI Pro and YouTube Premium,” Google said.
For Indian students, the offer includes access to Gemini Omni, twice the usage limits in Gemini and 400GB of storage. Google is also offering a bundle of Google AI Pro and YouTube Premium at up to a 70% discount.
Gemini gets interactive Deep Research
Google has also introduced an interactive Gemini Deep Research feature designed to provide more personalised learning.
The tool will use diagnostic quizzes to identify students’ strengths and knowledge gaps. Google said it will offer “personalized learning that uses diagnostic quizzes to identify strengths and knowledge gaps.”
Google Classroom is also getting teacher-led tools that allow educators to tailor learning for individual students and track their progress in real time.
