Craving food from a faraway restaurant? Zomato's new feature lets you order from 40 km away

Zomato has introduced Limitless Delivery in 7 Indian cities, allowing customers to order from participating restaurants located up to 40 km away. Here's how to use it

Ordering food from a favourite restaurant located several kilometres away could now become easier for customers in 7 Indian cities. Zomato has introduced 'Limitless Delivery', a new service that allows users to place orders from participating restaurants located up to 40 km from their delivery addresses.

The feature expands the platform's conventional delivery radius, giving customers access to restaurants that may not have appeared in their regular search results because of distance restrictions. It also allows restaurant partners to reach customers across a wider geographical area rather than being limited to nearby neighbourhoods.

Zomato CEO Aditya Mangla said the initiative would help customers order from their favourite eateries even when they are located far from home.

Which cities have Zomato's Limitless Delivery?

The service has initially been rolled out in 7 major cities across India. These include Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune and Hyderabad.

However, the company has not announced when the feature will be extended to other cities.

How to order food from restaurants up to 40 km away

Customers can access the new service through the Zomato application in 2 ways.

Through the homepage: Open the Zomato app and head to the 'Explore More' section. Tap the dedicated 'Limitless Delivery' shortcut to view restaurants participating in the service and available for delivery to your location.

Through the search option: Enter the name of your preferred restaurant in the app's search bar. If the outlet supports Limitless Delivery and serves your delivery address, you can browse its menu and place an order through the usual process.

Can you order from any restaurant within 40 km?

The 40-km distance is the maximum range supported by the service and does not mean every restaurant within that radius will be available.

Orders depend on whether a restaurant has opted into the programme and whether it serves the customer's location. Delivery charges and estimated waiting times may also differ depending on the distance and geographical conditions.

How will Limitless Delivery benefit customers?

The service could give customers access to eateries that were previously outside their regular delivery radius. For restaurants, the expanded reach offers an opportunity to attract customers from different neighbourhoods and potentially improve business.
