Renault India has rolled out the new Kiger, a refreshed version of its popular compact SUV, promising more power, enhanced safety, and upgraded technology. With over 35 improvements across design, performance, and features, the car is positioned to strengthen Renault’s footprint in one of India’s fastest-growing automobile segments.
The New Kiger comes with a bold exterior revamp, featuring a redesigned front grille, sculpted hood, updated bumpers, LED headlamps, tail lamps, and fog lamps. It also sports 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, new skid plates, and dual-tone roof options. A new colour option—Oasis Yellow—debuts with this model, alongside another fresh shade, Shadow Grey, joining existing choices like Radiant Red and Caspian Blue.
Inside, the cabin has been reworked with a new dual-tone dashboard, ventilated leatherette seats, and improved insulation for a quieter ride. Rear AC vents, upgraded upholstery, and a premium finish aim to add comfort for both driver and passengers.
Renault has packed the Kiger with an upgraded technology package that includes a 20.32 cm floating touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a premium 3D ARKAMYS® surround sound system, multi-view camera, automatic headlamps, and rain-sensing wipers.
Under the hood, the SUV offers a 100 PS turbocharged engine, delivering 160 Nm of torque with fuel efficiency of 20.38 km/l (ARAI certified). A naturally aspirated engine option is also available, producing 72 PS and 96 Nm torque with a mileage of 19.83 km/l. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual, Easy-R AMT, and an advanced X-Tronic CVT with D-Step technology to eliminate the typical “rubber-band” effect.
The New Kiger now comes with 21 standard safety features, including six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control, Hill Start Assist, and ISOFIX child seat anchorage. Built on the CMFA+ platform, it offers added protection through tyre pressure monitoring, pedestrian safety measures, and improved crash resilience.
The Turbo variants—Techno and Emotion—are priced between ₹9.99 lakh and ₹11.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The naturally aspirated Energy variants are available from ₹6.29 lakh to ₹9.14 lakh (ex-showroom), making the Kiger accessible across a wide customer base.
Commenting on the launch, Venkatram Mamillapalle, MD & CEO of Renault India, said:
“With this latest evolution, we are reaffirming our commitment to making expressive design, intelligent engineering, and real-world performance accessible to Indian customers. This marks a pivotal moment in Renault’s India-centric transformation journey.”
The Kiger remains one of Renault’s strongest offerings in India’s SUV market, which now accounts for nearly half of total passenger vehicle sales.
