Salman Khan has found a new way to reach his fans beyond the big screen. The Bollywood superstar has launched his official YouTube channel, Being Salman Khan, where he is giving viewers a glimpse into his screen persona through playful lessons on acting, body language and dialogue delivery.
Announcing the digital venture on Friday, October 9, the actor shared his first videos on the platform, drawing on the mannerisms that have become closely associated with him over the years.
Salman Khan teaches fans how to master his signature style
Salman's first video features two versions of the actor in a light-hearted exchange. While one plays an acting and personality coach, the other takes on the role of a student learning the superstar's signature style.
The coach guides the student through the body language, mannerisms and dialogue delivery that fans have come to recognise as Salman's trademark. The format gives the actor an opportunity to turn familiar aspects of his on-screen personality into entertaining lessons for his audience.
Salman also promoted the channel through his Instagram Story, sharing a link and encouraging fans to explore the new platform.
“Shuru se shuru karte hain. Mera official YouTube channel. A se Z tak sab yahan milega (Let’s start from the beginning. My official YouTube channel — you’ll find everything here, from A to Z),” he wrote.
The channel has already attracted 41.9K subscribers, marking the beginning of the actor's latest digital venture.
Salman joins Bollywood celebrities on YouTube
Salman is the latest Bollywood star to use YouTube to connect with audiences outside films and television. Several celebrities, including Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Kartik Aaryan, also have channels on the platform.
Farah Khan has built a sizeable audience with her celebrity cooking vlogs, which feature visits to actors' homes, cooking sessions and candid conversations. Launched in 2024, her channel has crossed 3.2 million subscribers.
Archana Puran Singh has also gained a following through family vlogs featuring her husband, Parmeet Sethi, and their sons, Aaryamann and Ayushmaan Sethi. Her channel, launched towards the end of 2024, has crossed one million subscribers. Her sons have subsequently started their own YouTube channels as well.
