The makers of Prabhas-starrer 'Spirit' have dismissed reports that the film's release date has been postponed to avoid a clash with Salman Khan's upcoming film 'SVC63'. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial is still scheduled to reach theatres on March 5, 2027.
The development comes after reports suggested that Spirit could move from its announced date, amid anticipation of a major Eid 2027 box office clash.
'Spirit' release date remains unchanged
Salman Khan had announced in April that 'SVC63', which also stars Nayanthara, would release during Eid 2027. Spirit was also expected to arrive around the same festive period, leading to speculation about a possible change in release plans.
However, a T-Series spokesperson has now confirmed that there is no change to the Prabhas-led film's release schedule.
“We are very much on track with the release of Spirit. The film is slated to release on March 5, 2027, and there is absolutely no change to the announced release date. We are working as per schedule and are gearing up to bring the film to audiences worldwide on March 5, 2027," said the spokesperson.
This is not the first time the production house has addressed postponement rumours. T-Series had issued a similar clarification in May after reports claimed that the film could be delayed.

Prabhas and Vanga join hands
'Spirit' marks the first collaboration between Prabhas and filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The project has generated considerable interest, given the combination of the Baahubali star and the director of Arjun Reddy and Animal.
The film initially had Deepika Padukone attached as the female lead, but she later exited the project following failed negotiations. Triptii Dimri was subsequently brought on board, marking her Telugu film debut.

The cast also features Vivek Oberoi, Prakash Raj and Kanchana.
The first-look poster was unveiled on New Year 2026. It showed Prabhas with a heavily bandaged, wounded back, while Triptii Dimri was seen lighting his cigarette.
With the release date unchanged, 'Spirit' remains on course for March 5, 2027, setting up the possibility of a major box office face-off around the Eid period.
