Hailey Bieber has been spotted on a rare outing with her parents, Stephen and Kennya Baldwin, two years after she publicly acknowledged that she was no longer particularly close to her family. The 29-year-old model and entrepreneur joined her parents and older sister Alaia Baldwin for dinner in Los Angeles on August 20, putting the family back together in public after speculation about strains in their relationship.
The appearance attracted attention because Hailey had previously spoken candidly about becoming increasingly independent from the Baldwin family after building a life of her own with husband Justin Bieber. While her remarks had prompted talk of a possible family rift, she never suggested that she had completely severed ties with her parents, and the latest gathering indicates that the family continues to spend time together.
Family steps out together
Hailey kept her look casual for the evening, wearing a white T-shirt beneath a black hoodie with matching leggings, sunglasses and a shoulder bag. Her father Stephen opted for a beige short-sleeved shirt, jeans and a cap, while Kennya wore a button-down top with high-waisted brown trousers. Alaia completed the family gathering in a black outfit layered with a camel-coloured jacket.
The dinner was a relatively uncommon public appearance for Hailey with both her parents. Much of her public life in recent years has centred on Justin, their young son Jack and her growing beauty business, leaving her relationship with the wider Baldwin family largely outside the spotlight.
Hailey had spoken of distance
Questions surrounding the family relationship intensified following an interview in 2024 in which Hailey explained that she had become highly independent and was no longer as close to her family as she once had been. She said at the time that she regarded herself as an individual who had created a family and life of her own rather than remaining defined by the household in which she grew up.
